A South Park PA man accused of sexually assaulting several minors has now been charged with trying to hire someone to murder the victims.
The suspect is a 29-year-old resident of South Park Township in Allegheny County, PA. He was arrested in June 2016 after five of his young karate students at Tang Soo Do Karate College in North Versailles came forward to law enforcement and said that he sexually assaulted them. The victims were reportedly as young as 12 years of age.
While the sex crime charges against the suspect are pending, he is being held at the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. According to law enforcement, the suspect’s incarceration did not stop him from attempting to hire a fellow inmate to murder the five young students he allegedly assaulted. As a result, the suspect now faces additional criminal charges for soliciting homicide and soliciting retaliation.
The suspect’s cellmate at the Pittsburgh jail went to authorities and said that the suspect asked him to kill the potential witnesses in his sexual assault case. The suspect reportedly believed that the cellmate would be released from jail and that he would carry out the murder plot. The suspect also allegedly asked other inmates for their help in killing the alleged sex crime victims.
An affidavit indicates that the suspect had very specific instructions for the potential hitmen. He reportedly wanted them to plant explosives near propane tanks outside the victims’ homes. The suspect also allegedly referred to the murder plan as “Order 66,” which may be a reference to the Star Wars movies. In exchange for the inmates killing the victims, the suspect reportedly offered to provide cash and free karate lessons.
